The project

An international experience that combines professional growth, security, and quality of life, thanks to a structured language training program, logistical support, and professional integration.

Smiling nurse

Today, the nursing profession in Italy is going through a complex phase: despite the central role and social impact of the work, conditions often remain difficult. Salaries, among the lowest in Europe, average between €1,450 and €1,600 net per month, while the nurse-to-inhabitant ratio (6.5 per 1,000) is still far from the European average of 8.4.

This imbalance translates into heavy shifts, overloaded departments, few breaks, and a growing level of stress. According to recent estimates, over 30,000 nurses left their jobs in 2024, often due to unsustainable shifts and inadequate pay.

In this context, the professional recognition of the role is progressing too slowly, making it difficult to retain professionals and attract new graduates.

Why work as a nurse in the Netherlands

Working as a nurse in the Netherlands means entering a modern, inclusive, and well-being-oriented healthcare system.

Nurses are considered central figures in care, enjoying strong professional recognition from colleagues and patients alike.

In the Netherlands, the profession is supported by stable working conditions, guaranteed leave, and an organization that focuses on the quality of care and the well-being of staff.

Continuous training is an integral part of the contract, and collaboration between nurses and doctors is based on mutual respect and trust.

Specifically, here is what you will find:

  • Competitive salary and stable contract
  • Professional growth opportunities and continuous training
  • Collaborative and international work environment
  • Work-life balance thanks to flexible hours and guaranteed leave
  • A welcoming, safe, and sustainable society

In the Netherlands, many Italian nurses discover a new dimension to their profession: more time for patients, for themselves, and for their private lives.

A context where professionalism is recognized and daily peace of mind is not a luxury, but a priority.
